SINGLE MALT WHISKY
At Woodlands Distillery, our Single Malt Whiskies are made slowly, carefully and with a real sense of place. Crafted grain to glass in the Porongurup region of Western Australia's Great Southern, each batch is aged in a single cask, meaning no two are ever quite the same, and once they're gone, they're gone.​
​Our current range - Batch 2, Batch 3 and Batch 5 - has already turned heads, picking up Gold and Bronze at the 2025 Perth Royal Show. From smooth and fruit-forward to rich and velvety, there's a single malt here for every kind of whisky drinker.

BRONZE MEDAL WINNER
​Can't decide on a barrel? Batch 2 gives you the best of both worlds, aged in ex-bourbon and Port French Oak, it's a beautifully layered whisky with toffee, peach, red berries and a subtle smoky finish. Award winning and genuinely complex.

BATCH 3
Batch 3 is a little different and that's what makes it one of our favourites. Aged in a French Oak Muscat barrel, it takes on a rich, wine-influenced character with notes of ripe figs, caramelised nuts and a hint of dark chocolate. If you're a wine lover curious about whisky, this is a great place to start.

GOLD MEDAL WINNER
Batch 5 is our most celebrated single malt to date, and honestly, it's easy to see why. Awarded Gold at the 2025 Perth Royal Show, this ex-bourbon barrel aged whisky is smooth, approachable and full of character, the kind of bottle that appeals to just about everyone and continues to be our best seller online. You get orchard fruits up front, a gentle warmth from the spice, and then that soft creamy vanilla finish that the ex-bourbon cask does so well. Whether it's your first bottle of Australian single malt whisky or your latest addition to the collection, Batch 5 is hard to go past.

DEVILS SLIDE RYE WHISKY
Rye whisky is bold, spicy, and full of character and that's exactly what we set out to capture with Devils Slide, our one and only small batch rye whisky here at Woodlands Distillery.
Made with locally sourced rye grain and aged in a single Port French Oak barrel, this is Western Australia's rye whisky done differently. It's got all the punch you'd expect from a rye, with a rich port finish that makes it something truly unique.

The Whisky Enthusiast: If you already know your way around a glass of whisky and appreciate what goes into making one, Devils Slide was made for you. From locally sourced rye grain through to bottle, every step happens right here on our property in the Porongurups.
The Bold Drinker: At 50% ALC, this isn't a shy whisky. Devils Slide suits those who enjoy a spirit with real presence, the kind you pour, sit with, and let unfold slowly rather than rush.
The Collector Single cask: Small batch. One rye whisky, made once the way we wanted to make it. If you love getting your hands on something genuinely limited and uniquely Australian, this one belongs in your collection.

WHEAT WHISKY BATCH 1
Silver Medal Winner, 2025 Perth Royal Show. This one is about as close to home as a whisky can get. Our Wheat Whisky Batch 1 is made using Mosquito wheat, a red wheat grown right here on the farm that surrounds the distillery and aged in a French Oak Shiraz barrel. The result is something genuinely unique in the Australian whisky space.
It's an incredibly easy whisky to drink, and honestly it's converted more than a few people who never thought wheat whisky was for them. If you love the idea of a whisky that's truly grain to glass - grown, distilled and bottled on the same patch of land - Wheat Whisky Batch 1 might just be your new favourite.​

THE WHISKY NEWCOMER: If you've always been a little unsure about whisky, Wheat Whisky Batch 1 is a great place to start. Smooth, easy to drink and full of familiar flavours like caramel, toasted bread and a hint of dark berries. It's approachable, enjoyable and has won over plenty of people who swore wheat whisky wasn't for them.

COLLECTOR'S EDITION
2ND BATCH SINGLE MALT $750
For those looking for something truly special, our Collector's Edition First Batch Single Malt is available, but you'll need to get in touch with us directly to secure one.
Following the sell-out of our initial 100 bottles, we released a second run of this historic whisky and it's every bit as special. Aged for just under three years in Ex Bourbon American Oak and Port French Oak barrels, each 700ml bottle is individually numbered and comes with an authentication certificate. This was our very first batch at Woodlands Distillery, which makes it a genuine piece of history.
